WHAT IS LA-BÒ?

LA-BÒ is a collection of upcycled leather shopping bags featuring an essential, functional and timeless design. Conceived as a durable, high-quality alternative to the traditional single-use plastic bag, it is available in three sizes: LA-BÒ, the everyday shopping bag; Baby LA-BÒ, made from the central cut-out of the larger version without generating waste; and Mini LA-BÒ, designed to make use of smaller pieces of leather.

Each piece is handcrafted in Italy through a short, local supply chain that celebrates traditional expertise and ensures the highest quality standards.

WHAT WE OFFER

LA-BÒ features two complementary lines:

Classic Collections: essential colours, everyday versatility and a minimalist aesthetic.

Special Collections: limited editions created from distinctive leather
stocks sourced from Italian tanneries. They feature seasonal palettes or unique shades that are no longer in production, enhanced by special finishes, textures and laminations.

HOW IT WORKS

LA-BÒ is an online-only project: collections are launched and presented on Instagram and are available exclusively through our online store.

On special occasions—such as new launches, previews or key moments throughout the year—LA-BÒ also comes to life through dedicated events held in selected locations.

WHO IS BEHIND LA-BÒ?

LA-BÒ was conceived and is produced by Elena Riva and Fulvia Bleu, founders of Visualmade, a design studio that has specialised in creating visual identities with a particular focus on sustainability since 2008.

The LA-BÒ project is rooted in the philosophy of total design, which they learned from their mentor AG Fronzoni at his Scuola Bottega and later enriched through the poetic, visionary thinking of architect Michele De Lucchi.

LA-BÒ brings together design, sustainability and communication: a tangible response to the desire to create an object that is contemporary, responsible and desirable.

A circular shopping bag, essential in form and glamorous in presence, bringing ethics and aesthetics together in a single vision.
